Italian Al Fresco Wedding With Kendra + Elliot

Summer weddings just have an air about them that feels inherently ethereal, and Kendra + Elliot’s wedding day was no exception. On July 30, 2021, our beautiful couple walked down the aisle with their closest family and friends surrounding them. Like so many of our couples from 2021, the pandemic meant Kendra and Elliot had to change their wedding date and eventually settle on a smaller scale event than originally planned. Supported by their Pretty Plans coordinator Emily, Kendra and Elliot took the opportunity to make lemonade out of lemons, and dine under a sky full of stars.

You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile

Planning with Kendra and Elliot was an absolute dream. They had a clear vision of what they wanted right from the start; an intimate event that equally celebrated their marriage and honoured their families, who had supported them and set loving examples of marriage.

On top of being a keen and organized couple, Kendra and Elliot are also incredibly stylish. This was apparent from their choices for floral and decor, all the way down to their personal style for the big day. They put loving thought into each and every aspect of the wedding, making it clear that no detail would be overlooked.

Kendra’s dress was timeless, classic, and old world chic. She wore an ivory floor length dress with a fitted silhouette and a halter neckline. All this was brought together by a bow in the back that cascaded from her neck past her waist. This was truly the perfect feminine touch on a simple and elegant dress. To beat the summer heat, Kendra’s hair was in a clean low bun and her ears were adorned with dangling diamond earrings. Kendra’s look reminds us of Meghan Markle’s stunning second wedding dress, which started worldwide trends in bridal fashion.

Elliot's attire complemented Kendra's. He wore a cream colored suit, blue patterned tie, matching pocket square, and deep brown shoes. His casual elegance matched the effortless feeling of the day. Both Kendra and Elliot were all smiles as they took their first look photos in front of a forest green vintage car.

The Details

When Emily started working with Kendra and Elliot, they already had their venue set. They planned to be married in Elliot's parents' stunning backyard. As the couple started to think about design, they wanted to create something that played into the setting by enhancing the gorgeous gardens maintained by Elliot’s mom, while still having a touch of elegance and class. They settled on the idea of an Italian Al Fresco theme that would be airy and natural looking, with white washed wood furniture, soft pastel and ivory florals, lots of wild greens, antique stone vases, and playful touches of lemons scattered throughout.

Every single detail at Kendra and Elliot’s wedding was tied to their theme. They were committed to transforming the space into a fairytale Italian garden wedding, and they absolutely succeeded.

To achieve this look, the Pretty Plans team made sure to think of every detail. Greenery was woven through the lattice of the bar and the base of the structure was flanked by natural wood boxes with overflowing lemons. A large overgrown garden centrepiece was placed on the side of the bar, and even the ice cubes at cocktail hour had edible flowers in them. Candles were mixed on the outdoor staircase, which matched the candles on the tablescape, and stone bowls of lemons were nestled between each centrepiece. The table was set with antique glassware, gold cutlery, ivory chargers and dinner plates, white tapered candles, and cane back chairs.

A few weeks before the wedding, the couple saw a vintage forest green convertible which they thought would bring even more of an old world Italian feel to their day (spoiler alert, they were right!). Even the wedding cake was a subtle nod to their theme; A lemon blueberry masterpiece, which was truly one of the best wedding cakes we’ve ever tasted, with minimal frosting to mirror the natural setting. Kendra and Elliot's wedding felt unique, personal, and full of warmth.

Our Final Love Letter to K + E

From the moment the Pretty Plans team started working with Kendra and Elliot, we knew it was going to be incredibly special. The gorgeous garden setting, the beautiful couple with great taste, and phenomenal vendors all led to an unforgettable evening. The wedding exceeded all expectations, and there was truly something so magical about the glow of the happy newlyweds celebrating with those who love them most. We wish them all the happiness in the world as they take on life's greatest adventures together!

All our love,

The Pretty Plans Team

I’ve been reading up on MBBS in Kyrgyzstan, and one thing that stands out is the overall education vibes around the medical universities. Most campuses seem to be in student-focused areas with libraries, hostels, and affordable places to live, which probably helps maintain a serious study environment. For someone considering medical studies abroad, the academic atmosphere and daily student life there are worth looking into alongside factors like curriculum and recognition.
