The Importance of Having a Good Photographer

"We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone...". Such a beautiful quote but such a true statement. There are so many amazing moments to savour in our lives and your wedding day should be one of them!

There have been too many times where I have heard from couples that they wished that they had better images from their special day. Instead of looking back in hindsight at the photos you paid for and not being 100% satisfied with them, make sure you and your partner spend a bit of time researching your perfect photographer match.

Weddings can be expensive, but this is not the thing to cheap out on. These images will be the only documentation you get to look back on your special day and I can guarantee you will want to love them.

Here are some tips for finding a great photographer!

See if you can read reviews or reach out to someone who has used them before and ask about their experience and final outcome. The connection between a couple and a photographer is important but so is the finished product.

Next, request to have a one on one or meet in person with your potential photographer. If this is difficult for you because of travel etc., see if there is someone you trust (maybe a friend or family member) who can do this for you to ensure there is a positive connection there.

Look at their online portfolio, this is a tell-tale sign of how yours may come out. If you and the photographer don't have the same creative tastes, than maybe this isn't the best match.

Another great tip is to ask to look at a full album of some of the weddings they have photographed. This will give you a better scope of how their entire view on the weddings turned out instead of just a few of their best shots.

Remember, your selection of a photographer is crucial and for some couples, this isn't realized until after the fact. If you want to remember the most magical day of your life with gorgeous photos to look back on, use these tips to find your perfect match!

All my love,
